I spoke to guy the other day that says he has evidence that Sandmans were delivered without full length headlining's..
He said some were ordered that way as they were used for commercial purposes.
maybe they could be deleted from the order ?..I will try find out what documentation he is referring to..

Well.......... do you reckon if you optioned the heavier spring pack on a Sandman that you had to have the heavier duty tyres and then it went from XX7 to XU3(thats the other Sandman number I hope:o) and it wasnt the the different tyres at all, it was the spring set?
Makes sense to me as the tyres wont carry the load as the springs have to be uprated as well. Not much point in having a big load and having the arse dragging on the ground.

Shock absorber - regular - panelvan, utility, cab chassis

Rear springs - heavy duty 6 leaf - panelvan, utility, cab chassis

Rear springs - regular 4 leaf - panelvan, utility

Sandmans mostly had softer springs and passenger car tyres for a softer more car like ride and slightly improved handling of the passenger car tyres.

XU3 option was available on Sandman for owners who wanted a sporty van or ute that could still carry a full load.

XU4 option was available for owners needing a ute or van for carrying light loads but wanted more car like comfort.
