Because marketing said lots of people wanted HX without stripes. This car would be to show what you could get, ie a DL7 Sandman

Has anyone picked up the significance of the rego plate on the Palais White ute yet?
Go looking at your HZ Sandman brochures.
Speaking of this, did anyone here ever see the Seawitch in the flesh? Was it an auto? I'm trying to figure out if the interior photos in the HZ brochure are of the Seawitch. It can't be the ute as it was a 4spd with 63V trim. It can't be the van as the only possible Sandman van in the 7/77 HZ build was a 253 manual. It appears to me that the Seawitch may have been white. Problem is, it can't be a HZ Sandman as there is only 1 x HZ Sandman van in the initial build. So either it is a HX they've stuck the HZ Sandman stuff onto (which explains the HX dash), or it is something else as yet unexplained. In the initial 7/77 build of HZ I thing I think I can account for all of the other utes, vans and tonners in the 10/77 HZ commercial sales brochure except for 1 x Holden van, a 202 3spd. The Seawitch could be this car disguised as a Sandman too.
I also have a feeling the van on the brochure is Absinth as well, not Jasmine. This further reinforces the likelihood it is the 7/77 build van as Jasmine Yellow probably wouldn't have been in use yet when this van was built.
Hope it hasn't been re-birthed; those plates are also on this!!!! (1/43 Trax model)

Wow!! Good pick up!If only the model was Palais White!!!
Yes well, I looked at the sales brochure and yes the Ute and rego matches.
But, Blocker has the rego wrong and the state. It should read IXD-457 and Vic (not SA)
Looks to be the interior shots of the Yellow Sandman Van to me.
If it is the yellow van then it is most likely a HX as the only possible HZ Sandman van built early enough to be used in the brochure is a manual. Paint colour looks to be Absinth too.
