Why is that the only car with a visable number plate? Oversight from the Marketing Department perhaps.... The other Holden advertising photographs all have the number plates generic.

Easy mistake to make Blocker with the State. It would be sensible to assume that a car ordered and destined for SA would get SA rego, but GMH had their own internal reasons for such things. Probably save 50c. You'd also assume the Supermint van destined for NSW would have NSW rego, but no it got 6 months SA rego. Its sale date is 2/78, just before the 6 months rego shown on the document expired. It has a NSW internal dealer code, so it was defintely a NSW destined vehicle.
Yes I have more information on these cars but most is duplication. If it is really important I can put all the info together in a timeline (GM did change the vehicle orders) a couple times.
The ute IXD-457 was already in the GM fleet as the Sales Departments car, before a requisition was placed by marketing to have it used for the press fleet.
Interestingly again the panel van was to be delivered to the press fleet test with 1500-2000km on the clock for 'run in' and then serviced.
The HZ Commercial vehicles advertised on tv, all shared the "IXD" prefix no plates. Not quite all sequential number's though. Those vehicle's certainly got around back then.
