^^This only applies to HJ-HZ vans assembled at Pagewood, and HQ-HZ vans and tonners assembled at Dandenong (for the Sandman period anyway, not talking about earlier HQ's). Utes (and all other body styles except vans and tonners) assembled at Dandenong and Pagewood have the BODY number matching the end of the VIN number. All Acacia Ridge vans and utes match too. Elizabeth assembled vehicles never matched prior to August 77, after that the BODY number matched the VIN. I think the only one i've never actually seen is an Acacia Ridge tonner!
(Note that there is maybe a handful of cars that don't fit the above, there is the odd one here or there that aren't vans or tonners that have the divorced body and assembly plants. Not sure why this happened but it did and normally in small groups, possibly due to a body plant breakdown at the assembly plant, or excess capacity out of another body plant due to an assembly plant breakdown. I've also left out the Mosman Park plant as this is prior to Sandman).
