back in the 70s and early 80s we drove around with the gates up all the time for 2 reasons..
one was so all the chickies in the back could see out and all our mates could see in and see that we had a van load of hotties...:Hair:
two was so you could suck down the pure real leaded fuels with no carcinogins like today...and to look cool and to hear the exhaust note better..:knockout:.[carcinogins is probably spelt wrong]..

Yes well i was 15-19 in those vanning days so you do the sums Kiwivan, so I guess if you think that is old, but I sure don't feel it yet.....and oz is right we used to sit up in the back, and look out the back, the fumes were not too bad if you were travelling quickly enough lol.....or rear spoilers helped with fumes also....

Driving with the tail gate up was the go back then. The 70's were good, fun time's. The 80's was all business, shift work, mortgage and raising a family for me.
