HJ sandman body and trim help

i just read a some were that the hj sandman did not run with the kingswood style door trim, so i checked it on a thred on there and some ppl say they might of. Even tho mine had wrong door trims when i got it, looks as if it may of had arm rests from factory. dose any one no for sure what door trims hj sandman should have? and if it has the belmont ones are the welded or stitch as i am debateing wether to go just get my seats re trimmed (stitched seams) or fork out the cash for the welded seat skins and door cards. help would be great. thanks

As far as I know the HQ and HJ Sandman vehicles were based on the base Belmont/Holden packages unless like the HQ Sandman Ute they came in Kingswood models as well. This would include the door trims and vinyl bucket seats without cloth inserts.

The absence or presence of the internal door arm rests is really up to your descretion. They were options on the models so could of been there from the factory.

Another recent thread has the addition of the arm rests as standard equipment in the HJ from 5/75.

Correct. HQ and HJ didn't recieve any trim upgrades over the model they were based upon, except for armrests on later HJ Holden Sandman and B47 comfort pack on Holden Sandman van. HJ Kingswood had armrests as standard so they weren't part of the XX7/XU3 package on Kingswood.
