Will it affect the value of the van in the end?

    In short YES!!
If you are trying to save a couple of dollars on your trim, shop around but using stitched not welded will look cheap. There are enough trimmers out there who are doing the trim in the original manner, that makes using non original trim a bad idea.
If your car is an original Sandman, you will be devalueing it by using the wrong seats.
Your interior depends on the model of your car, if it is Kingswood based, 8WN80/8WN70 then it will have Chamois interior and Kingswood door trims.
If your car is Holden based, 8WM80/8WM70 then it will have Beige interior with the base model door trims.
The colour is the same in both cases and the code is the same 60V just the NAME of the trim is different.

The reason HJ Sandman brochures show both Holden and Kingswood trim is the Sandman option package was available on both Holden and Kingswood vehicles. Simple.
In early HJ 60V is the code for Beige on a Holden and Chamois/Covert on a Kingswood. Later in 1975 the Beige bench seat code changed from 60V to 60W but buckets stayed as 60V. For the last of HJ the light trim code changed to 60A, called Beige on Holden and Chamois/Black on a Kingswood. Not so simple but pretty clear. The difference between beige and chamois is the vinyl used on the seats and doortrims. Beige is a single tone vinyl, chamois is a two-tone. For the blacks GMH actually gave the single and two tone vinyls a different code: 19V is black (this is the single tone black on a Holden) and 18V is slate black (this is the two tone black on a Kingswood). But for the other codes, ie 60V/W, 45V/W and 67V/W they didn't.

No worries so hope it all makes sense, there is a lot of good knowledge with the people here

You'll be needing the commercial trim like the one pictured earlier in the thread and it will be called 60V Beige.

    thanks guys
dose any one no some were in vic that dose the welded trim i have seen them on the net for sale but not in the belmont beige and what is a good price as the kingswood ones i have seen are $1400 for door trims and seat skins so fitting skins to seats would be on top of that
