I've always found it bizarre how one model had a unique dash (HQ), then the same dash for the rest of the H series (HJ-Z)......not saying they arent cool, but i would've thought Holden would've at least redesigned the dash for HX onwards..... that dash was even available on the WBs.
They realised the mistake they made with the hq dash so they got the hjxz one perfect why change lol

Probably because the HQ was basically a full US design, and the WA was the Aussie modified version due out around 1974-5. It got delayed and the HJ, then HX and HZ were released. My guess is the WA dash was then used in the HJ. The WA got canned and the WB was released once they realised that passenger versions of the WA or WB Holden were never to be built.

If anyone gets a chance to look inside and under the bonnet of the WA Kingswood at Birdwood it'd be interesting to see what dash is in it and what the ID plates say.

If anything I'm tipping its a statesman ID. It really looks like a statesman (same length?) with kingswood front, mirrors and interior.

I'm still not sure if I want to go through and buy something that needs work and paint or just buy something in very good condition with walk in rego.
On a side note, does anyone know what and when this sold as its up for sale again.
