Are the rare spares one as good as original

Rares arent susposed to be any good , quality very poor, better looking around for a good genuine pair Gene, I picked up a pair on ebay they were painted matt black and looked a bit crappy on the ad but when I got them and stripped them they were good no dents etc, only payed something like $30 for them.
