That was pretty obvious with the starting price and the condition of the car as a whole.

If one turns up, I'm sure it will be all over the forum.

Thats a shame Mella! By the sounds of it, the guy didnt want to budge on the price.

Where did you get that urban myth from Alien? I don't think anyone can tell you definite numbers of HQ Sandman's from each plant and body type. There had to be more than 50 made per plant... Kingswood utes, Belmont Utes and Belmont Panelvan's.

Thats the numbers ive heard mate. From memory Byron has 70 odd vans and 15 odd utes recorded i think...Byron might correct me on that. But i know they were limited in their build numbers Only built for 9 months dont forget

Sooooooo You are saying 85 of the original 100 survived... I know HQ's are tough but that tough? haha

I think Byron has said the HQ GTS/4 350 is rarer in production numbers.

I think that when you see a van like this for 30k you should be cheering it gets sold for that!
Then you can go out to your shed and dream of the money your little treasures are going to be worth!
We all have different budgets and 30k to someone might be a drop on the ocean , and not much money at all. Sandmans worth 100k ? Why not, lets hope so I say!!!!

Ok, I can now confirm that this HQ is on her way over to us now.... the whole family is EXCITED!!!! We can't wait until she is tucked safely away in our garage and we can start showing her the TLC she desparately needs. The former ower (one of only two) shared many colourful stories about the cars history, which was really cool

As for the HJ we were offered, the fella who owns it has now decided he will offer it for sale pubicly and has asked me manage the sale on his behalf - so I will get the details up shortly. THANKS EVERYONE WHO OFFERD SUPPORT AND ADVICE!!!!!!
