    The decals would have been in the production process well prior to the vehicle release date. It is possible that the supplier at the time sent them in or they may have been incorrectly labelled or picked. There are so many unknown possibilities. The quality control systems then are way less stringent than today.

    The one in the birdwood is a 10/79 so its quite possible.....

    My van is 7/78 and it has HZ 5Litre on the air cleaner.

    I kept with the red one, because it originally had a Red motor in it.
    BUT the blue does look a bit better.

    HZ never had a blue motor and Holden never made a blue HZ sticker!!!
