Thanks everyone for your replies- hk1837 why are disks a waste of time on a commercial? I was going off what I had read in the forum and understood it to be a worthwhile improvement along with using a vt brake booster?
For my donor I won't be using the gearbox as my panelvan already has a celica 5 speed- I've just got to work out if my 202 has a trimatic pattern and therefore my gearbox is ready to go or if I need to change the bell housing.
My car is currently gas only and I think I'll rebuild my v8 to make it gas only too, I've read a fair bit on the ozrodders forum. I'm not after a powerhouse but a solid cruiser with a respectable amount of power and a noisy rumble
