    No more attachments.

I don't know why, but in the past month some people think using the attachment link is for pictures.
Do not use the attachment link for photos, scans or pictures it is for documents only, there is no need to use it.

    Capture.jpg

    A
is for Attachments like a document or PDF not pictures.

B is for a webiste address it's called a hyperlink. You use it to add another website link.

C is for Adding pictures like photos or images even if you SCAN something you will use this.

D is for linking to Youtube or other video sharing website.

Please stop using the Attachment icon for uploading photos, pictures or scans it is breaking the forum.

    Thanks.

Jaft, theres a few storage sites out there. I use Photobucket. www.photobucket.com Lets you store heaps of pics and videos. Just create an account and start uploading your pics onto it. Once you've done that it gives you a link you use for the image and thats what you use when posting pics in threads.

I post a stack of pics and i'd likely crash the forums if i used the 'C' option

If you need any help mate, just shout out and let me know

Oops, sorry Blocker. I didn't realise A was not for pictures, i'll only post docs that way from now on. I don't think i'll post any more pictures or scans though as i'm not interested in using a hosting site!

Posting a picture using the 'Picture Frame' icon uploads it to this site, not a picture hosting site.

When I click on that it asks for a URL? There is no "browse" button to choose the picture off the local machine or network? I must be missing something?

You're right Byron. Although that button used to give 2 options. One for a URL and one to upload from your device (which never worked with an ipad anyway)

Check it again you'll see that it is back now.

A choice to link to upload directly to this site, or to link to a URL.

Sorry, I've been guilty of that... I have trouble with photo uploads because they're too big. I did have access to a 'downsize' site, I can't remember what it was called? Someone on here reccommended it. Infraview or something similar? Anyone know? Cheers.
