Anyone had experience with the decals from Tassie, I hear there are not as good as stickthis because they are digital and not screen printed and that they fade, has anyone experienced the Tassie ones fading?
cheers

No idea about the Tassie ones, but I can give good feedback on Stickthis decals, they are on our yellow van, and will be on our red van shortly....if you go to the trouble of painting a van or ute, you might as well finish with good quality decals....![]()
HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"
Married to RodneyHZ253
I have the stick this decals on my van too. Look neato!
1977 HX Sandman Van
WANTED - Aquarius Sandman Ute
Basically simple reasons....
Hand screen printing is the exact way the originals where done. Screen printed inks are much stronger. Screen printed stripes also look much more original. If you look in the "stickthis decals" section on the forums there is a section on there that explains the differance between screen and digital printing.
At the end of the day like most of the users will vouch for on here. You pay for what you get.![]()
thanks guys- This helps with the approval from the ministry of finance
To be fair Jason discontinued printing stickers for a while so some members would of gone to the only supplier that was available. The inference at that time was that he was not going to resume printing them.
I could imagine that fading would be an issue for the more detailed coloured stripes of the Hx/z range but probably less prevelent for the solid black (or WTF with the white) stickers of the earlier models. The other suppliers are printing the stickers for those on quality 3M materials as well.

All correct. BUT. A digital printed HQ/HJ stripe in black or white. Are they even printing them? Or just cheaply vinyl cutting them? I would garentee that they are not screen printing them.
Mine are screen printed. Why. because its the best way and longest lasting. Most important its the EXACT way the origingals where done. I could do them cheaply vinyl cut but the will not last with the thin lines of sticker. The originals where printed onto clear to give them more overall strength. This is the exact way mine are.
thanks for all the replies, but still would like to talk to any members with the tassie ones, he has said he has done over 100 Sandman decals over 6 years on quality 3m paper and has never had any negative feedback in regards to fading,
