Early HJ Sandman GTS speedo for sale

does anybody know if the housing/back body of these are the same from hj-hz

i realise the gauge is different

Front housing and rear housing is exactly the same from HJ through to WB. I posted about these on Fastlane about a year ago Cav.

i never saw that thread so thanks, i have a sample of a new one here in my hands but the number only said hj speedo so i wanted to be certain

The front housing section with the mounting tabs is the same part for both the speedo and the tacho, the rear speedo housing is different to the rear tacho housing.

There is a definate need and market for the front housings to be reproduced as many of them have cracked or broken off mounting tabs. I plastic weld these to repair them but is it hard to do and very time consuming shaping new mounting lugs.

Being able to buy a new front housing would make it a lot easier for people to fix their speedo and tacho so it mounts securely.
