I brought this van about a month or so ago, it looks basically the same as in the pic other than the standard ss wheels have been replaced with a set of 19's. I'll grab some pics of it over the next few days to add to this thread.

It's great to see there is some enthusiasm for these amongst vanners, there's some awesome vans in this thread and it's already given me lots of ideas for things to do to mine!

    Cheers, Brett

Cheers for the info. Suprised that only 5 VUs were made. Shame really, the front end suits the lines of the canopy much better

No thats the best one i have mate. I can ask a few guys if they have a better one and will let you know.

Heres a VE wiring diagram if thats of any interest

Interesting the second VE version is for the Zinardi canopy. Make your ute look like a 2 door Sportswagon.
No relation to the original HBD/FTP/AMCAT product.

Yeah, the VU is very limited. Holden had 2x VY SI versions that were displayed throughout the country (Promos to encourage sales/orders).
Both were Hot House Green, 1x V8 SS and the other was a 6cyl S. I beleive the S is in Queensland and the SS in Melbourne.
The official HBD version release wasn't until the 2003 VY SII after numerous delays.

Orange is the second guise. Back to his Tangerine Dream roots. I think it started life as a Cosmo SS.
It was for sale quite some time back. The asking was $40k no dreamers.
