Hi I have just purchased an VZ SS Sandman in turismo blue.. Just a quick question it has a small crack above passenger side window..Now I have read another post on here saying they can crack there.. Can anyone tell me who would be best to talk to it get it repaired properly .. I'm loving the van and it's in great condition .. Just a shame about the small crack

Any fibreglasser should be able to deal with the issue. If your in Victoria the logical place to go to would be AMCAT in Bayswater.
Otherwise I would be looking at maybe a boat repairer. You need somebody who knows fibreglass and automotive painting.

I have never seen them crack in that position. Can you show us a photo?

Glad your enjoying your V Series Sandman. Would love to know more about it and view some images.

I have a crack in the rear passenger side pillar, where the glass sits... seems strange place... hasn't got any worse since I've had it and I've taken my girl down some terrible terrain

Sounds like the exact same place. It was apparently an issue with the old FTP mould and one of the modification improvements done when AMCAT purchased it.

The one mentioned was the passenger side glass ("B" Piller) area.
Are you talking rear (upper tailgate) glass?

I brought this van about a month or so ago, it looks basically the same as in the pic other than the standard ss wheels have been replaced with a set of 19's. I'll grab some pics of it over the next few days to add to this thread.

It's great to see there is some enthusiasm for these amongst vanners, there's some awesome vans in this thread and it's already given me lots of ideas for things to do to mine!

    Cheers, Brett

    G'day Brett,

Great to see the VU has another owner. I seriously considered buying this off Brad.
It's a true piece of history mate. Well done on the purchase.
