This is the same Van. Tiger Mica is the VU/VT colour.

It wasn't ever tagged as a HBD.

Apparently only 4 or 5 VU's were ever done. A black version in Darwin, the original MAMBO, this Tiger Mica version and the Blue employee's (Rowan) version now owned by Matt & Mandy.
They are Melbourne based so I'm sure you would have seen them around.

Alien, do you have the wiring diagram in a decent resolution?

Nice looking canopy SMQQTH. Funky look with the retro wheels on a modern ute. Pretty tuff looking!

    Cheers Jaft.

-Plans for the transformation consist of in short visually
    -Calais/Berlina front end,
-Custom made rear bar (along the lines of the utester/VU4YOU rear bar with weeks of little and some big changes to achieve the look I'm after).
-Wheel arches have now been pumped out to fit new tyre profile 245/35 20 up front and 275/30 20 out back.
-The whole van (or if in the case of a certain percentage of the population who can't get there head around it being a van... Ute with a Canopy) will be painted. Colour change in mind.
-There is also other changes that I would like to make depending on the motivation levels as time goes by.

    Vombil.

    Cheers for the comments

The wheels I feel are a good cross over from old to new and suit the 'Utility Van' well or here in Australia know them as a 'Panel van'

I brought this van about a month or so ago, it looks basically the same as in the pic other than the standard ss wheels have been replaced with a set of 19's. I'll grab some pics of it over the next few days to add to this thread.

It's great to see there is some enthusiasm for these amongst vanners, there's some awesome vans in this thread and it's already given me lots of ideas for things to do to mine!

    Cheers, Brett
