    All of that is changeable. There is one tiny thing that would exist on a Kingswood auto ute that wouldn't be there on a Kingswood auto XX7.

    haha not the Traumatic badge on the tailgate. I can only think of the wiring to the T-bar which is of course changable. There isnt a hole drilled for the reverse wire or something?

    Just think about an M40 bucket seat HQ Kingswood ute vs an M40 HQ Kingswood XX7 ute. Assume they both have U21 dash to rule out dash differences (apart from the speedo). How do they differ, and as a result of that difference what might exist on the Kingswood that isn't there on the XX7 (excluding unboltable bits)? It is only very small, and it is inside the cabin, and not easy to remove.

    Ok... seeing as you are expressly saying Kingswood Im assuming its not on a Belmont ute.

    Small and inside the cabin and ...

    . not the console mount;
    . nor the console;
    . nor the wiring to the Tbar lights and cut-out switch;
    . nor the gear selector indicator;
    . nor the door trims and arm rests;
    . nor the bright skuff panels;
    . nor the steering column blank or base plate;
    . nor the courtesy lights;
    ....

    Im out.. :-(

    The same would apply to Belmont or Kingswood, but the fact this one is a Kingswood and we were trying to figure out if it was a Sandman or not i why referenced Kongswood.

    So, XX7 comes with buckets and console shift. So if a HQ ute or van has buckets and M20/21/22 plus a console mount it has to be a Sandman, right? This is because console shift was not available outside Sandman. AND, in HQ ute/van with buckets a seat separator (same bracket as console) was mandatory EXCEPT with 4spd where there was nothing between the seats (so no seat separator bracket).

    So now think about an M40 HQ ute. How then will an XX7 differ to a normal bucket seat M40 ute or van? And what telltale will be left behind once you remove the whole interior?

    Was it the holes right at the front seat squabs where the seat seperator is sqrewed to the floor? We know the Console sqrew holes are in front of the cutout on the floor.

    Mauser nailed it, but hole, not holes. Seat sep has one screw at the front.
