Soda blasting leaves a residue on the metal which while it is good for slowing down surface rust from forming it must be totally cleaned off before any applying paint... if not the paint won't adhere properly to the metal and it will start to bubble and peel within 12mths.

I asked the spray painter what they need to do to the vehicle prior to painting so it sticks to the steel after soda blasting, he said believe it or not, all we have to do is give it a very good wash with water, before any paint application.....up until then of course we leave it there to stop surface rusting....
