Good doors for these cars are getting harder and harder to find
I needed to find some good doors and located a pair from a HJ Statesman, very sound and been in storage for a few years but you dont really know what you have until you start stripping them down.
After some paint stripper
a little rust in the passanger side bottom, more patches
Drivers door had a dodgy section at the bottom where it had rusted between the rubber and the door, the inside of the doors is sound
I am very happy with these doors, small ding on the front of one but they are awesome condition for their age.
Had to also grind off the trim tabs being statesman and weld up the trim screw holes
here is a trap I didnt think about, being Statesman door they had no holes for winders so I had to drill the winder hole and 1x screw hole

last push for the panels, front radiator support and guards
couldnt believe it started on the guards and found 6 layers of paint including high fills etc over the years
my son gave me a had with the front..... thanks Jesse
inner guards getting some stripper followed by wire brush
Came up pretty good considering they were coated in many years for mud, oil and ???? over many years
Now to weld up all the unneeded holes
the front needs a little love, the bottom of the rad support is sound and rust holes are a easy fix in not so important spots so its a keeper. Also after a full day of paint and scum removing its staying

with the car back on the chassis I did all the bits you dont see.
Tank , breather fuel lines etc. Connecting the tank to the filler pepe was hard took ages
handbrake cables and adjustment
Power steering pump, which looks horrible at the moment. It is getting chromed but being pushed for time ( mid June spray booking) so it will stay on until sprayed and pulled off when she gets back home.
make new Brake lines for the master cylinder to proportioning valve. I changed the master cylinder and the reservoirs were different, the front reservoir was th the back of the master cylinder and the rear was to the front so these lines did not fit

howd you go for doors grunt? find a set of glamour ones or did you repair?
BQZ
After ditching the white doors I have gone with the Statesman doors ( Blue) they are sound and probably the best I can expect to find for the age I think the pic of them is page 13 Best part was I didnt have to use one of those repo crap fitting repair panels on them
Dont want the old white one do you Vombil? free to good home.... they have a few hammer frustration marks in the now
