Time to drag her out and start on another horrible job.... stripping the paint from the cargo area (bedroom)

Nice to have a clear day and checl the front end out in the sun

OK, enough rooting around time to get started

I was sorta lucky, the walls were in a white colour that turned out to be a house paint or similar over the original grey.

This is the result of many hours litres of paint stripper and thinners and of course ..... the trusty wire wheel.

I thought it was time to put the big boy pants on and tackle the floor. Sometime during her life some bunny had painted the floor with like a black thick bituminous paint / paste. Looking at it closely its probably body deadner.
This was horrible to get off, when you put the paint stripper on it it spread everywhere. I probably used over 100 rags, lires or paint stripper and thinners on the floor alone.

Fortunately before I did the underside of the van I went through and welded all the holes up in the floor and sides so that was one less job to do and I didnt ruin my underside finish.

Had a visit from Alien DNA, lent me some verbal support and left, thanks buddy !

Didnt get any shots of it primer (soon) and still have to fill the grinds and some minor dints

another job done... now the inspection panels

Didnt realise that was part of the eBay sale conditions!!!

My son wouldve freaked out having to deal with two grown men baked out their mind with paint stripper and thinners!!

That said, if you need a hand with anything, shoot me a message or call!! I'll bring over some poison of your choice and i'll be happy to give you a hand

    Also...

That panel shop I mentioned to you in Bayswater is called

H.G Auto Body in Power Road. If you want his details or more info, let me know, happy to pass it on. Great guy to deal with

Stupid name Bayswater....no bay of water in the place

You put the hard yards in that day mate....so did your grinder by the looks of it.

    Your progress in really inspiring

I know the place your talking about.... he has lost the plot and not trading anymore from his old premise, I live not far from him (wont mention the name) I have had dealings with before on other cars I have done, If he was the only upholster left on this earth I would rather sit on a wooden fruit crate than go through the pain of dealing with him again, red hot pokers in the eyes would be more more fun.

As it goes I got my new interior from One Stop motor trimming, Elias in Sydney, took 7 days to complete, looks factory using factory materials and the price was more than reasonable, I cannot recommend Elias enough and they shipped to me in Melbourne well packed and cheap
