looks like L31 took a fair swipe at it. the hard hard parts are done
I have ruminants of a stripe of the same side but mine is b-pillar not door. gonna mask it up as a momento for the respray!

It begins, the most obvious damage was the from drivers side dog leg where it joins the sill
This is how it arrived, after a little digging it was found that someone had repaired the missing metal section with masking tape and a nice layer of bog over it
after a good wire brushing all is revealed
nothing has been chopped out of here it was cleaned with a wire wheel. All the missing metal was covered with masking tape and bog

ive experienced my own fair share of pain around those lower a-pillars. very common
you're right that is no small feat to do properly. newspaper/chook mesh and bog anyone?
