    Not much luck with this, as expected lol, but I have another one to see if it's out there somewhere now :D

    The engine from my LH. It's a factory Barbados Green 253 SL/R. Original engine number HR9454

    Engine long gone I would assume so will be fitting a 308

    If it did get found I would be interested though..

    I live in Dalby. Johnsons are the Holden and Nissan dealers. They service my SS Thunder ute.

    How can you tell if the original engine is in the vehicle or not?

    1. Original dealers sales receipt.
    2. It will be listed in your original service warranty maintenance book that sits with your owners manual. Having these makes your Sandman way more valuable than those that don't.
    3. Your engine block is date coded see http://mysandman.com.au/index.php/mo...-dates-a-codes
    4. Production run numbers. Although without the inside information you will not be able to link these.
