    Wow! So I started dismantling the 253. Every part and bolt is getting its own container.
    This is my first engine dismemberment, so looking forward to learning.

    It's a 253 from the 02/75 HJ Sandman, I hope to have this cleaned up and restored

    I wont throw anything , but that water pump looks knackered. I've spoken with a local guy about the motor, but I don't think he knows how bad it is but I am pretty set on getting this one restored.

    Dude did that engine come of a fishing trawler that used it for an anchor?

    rebuildable type that can be modded..later were sealed.

    Ok then! Factory type finish as opposed to going electric..

    Now I know why it got sent to the wrecker, the push rod is bent and cracked through the rocker.

    i guess that they did not have speakers in the doors.i hope this is so as iam getting mine filled in why the interior is getting redone
