Thanks for the photo filled updates. Before a stinking motor mechanic cracks out a pressure pack take your heads and block to someone that can do it all in heatproof 2 pack paint. It'll look a million bucks.
Clearing up the shed (which really means moving boxes from one corner to the other) and I kept a sample of the hoodlining from the early HJ.
The trim code is 19V but it is interesting to see that the hoodlining is not black, anyone have a colour name for this?

My trimatic has been pulled apart which gave me some 'not so good news'.
Bits of V8 and bits of 6cyl, parts filled with silicone, aluminium putty, weld spots, sprag is next to useless and a bunch of other problems.
Housing, some threads have been cross threaded and hairline cracks in the back.
Valve body comes from a 6cyl
A number of old 2nd hand parts were used to put this together!
