just as a bit of interest regarding trimatics..there is over 50 interchangeable parts from 4 cyl 6 cyl and 8 cyl.that should not be interchanged..no wonder there is so many pg13ed gearboxes out there

you could probably get a good runner trimatic for around $300. rebuild will be around $1500 upwards.

Yes important to know as I discovered but not late in the process. The supposed V8 trans I had in the first set of pictures is a bits-a of early and late V8, and 6cyl.

I paid a lot less than that for the replacement transmission from [MENTION=114]ambientgoat[/MENTION] and the reco/rebuild with heavy duty stall converter is $1000 flat at http://www.nova-automatics.com.au/index.html

Hmmm wonder what sims are paying per tonne for scrap at the mo? Glad to hear the gearbox you got off goat is ok Blocker.

I just picked up some transmission lines and fittings off an HJ V8 - they'll get a clean up over the weekend (if I get time).

thats good, i normally sell V8 trimatics suit rebuild for $120, and hear running for $300+.. $1000 for a reco one is very cheap..well done.
