    Body gone, time for some bare bone cleaning and repair work.



    Good 253 and 4 speed aussie will go soon I hope. It's not the original drive shaft, it's clearly marked with non wearing chalk from a Stato.
    Looks like the more work pulling it apart the more I discover on it's history.

    Impressive and inspirational work so far, just wondering how you got the body of the chasis and off to the sandblaster/panelbeater?? etc was it fairly easy and why you decided to take the body at this stage, Is it coming back rust free and in primer. Just curious on your thought process, looking forward to seeing the following stages keep up the good work.

    Here are some more pics from the shed.
    The first 4 are of a 253 from my HJ Sandman. Thanks to Ozbox who tells me the engine number has been re stamped after a reco.











    I picked up a nice windowless van with a 308.

    Max van has a 308H motor in it. Why are they gold? HT HG Monaro?
