That's a fair opinion Byron. But it's 100% is Van for me.
But the question being asked is "What is the best Sandman in the world currently" a real car with documentation that can be viewed and judged?

I don't have any problem with the question being "What is the best Sandman Ute & Van in the world currently"

Hence why I stated it could come down to individual preference! I get the question, I was just staing if I could find one of those utes it'd get my vote, but I doubt one still exists.

Hi, I'm don't think (yet?) my HZ Sandman is the best around, however I can offer some info for you to judge:

I purchased the van on the 11th of July 1978 and I still own it!
5 Litre, 4 speed, Jasmine Yellow.
Due to paint condition (faded) I had it resprayed GM Marinello Red in 1998.
Never seriously damaged.
Original rego No. and plates.
Being resprayed back to Jasmine Yellow this year.
Some obvious wear and tear, however nothing that a new headlining, door trims and carpet won't fix.
