Ohhhhhhh so tempted. Same spec as the GTS I already have, but being number 1 and matching colour/interior to my Sandman kinda turns me on a bit.
Shame they've damaged the tags pulling them off. You could easily rebody this using a 1977 Elizabeth HZ sedan body, and just be upfront about it if you ever sold it, just make it up as a nice street car with a 308 and whatever. You'd also own one of the very few Elizabeth HZ's that don't have a matching PSN and BODY number as it is built prior to 8/77 when they started matching them in the last month of HX production. This car may well have been either the HZ brochure car or a Press and Media car.
I'd be tempted to just fix that shell. It doesn't look that bad in the photos. Pretty sure I'd have all the bits needed apart from the rear spoiler.
If it is good enough elsewhere it looks fixable. It is only a mangled quarter and the rail would straighten once the quarter was off. It does have an interior wetting device in the roof though.
I just found out this IS the car off the HZ sales brochure.
Do you know anything about those interior wetting devices Byron? My GTS has one exactly the same. Must be faulty though cause there's no interior water damage.
We're they a dealer fit? Think mine was sold through a Tassie dealer.
No difference to today, dealers fit aftermarket stuff to new and used vehicles to make a sale.
The money tree has lost its leaves ATM. But it would be a good project we need to get into the malachite van and rebuild the boat motor which blew a head gasket on her maiden voyage grr stupid us should have test driven but didn't have time. Thanks Jennie on Rodney's iPadOriginally Posted by HK1837
