Well said, couldnt agree more!If you are spraying the car yourself, in your shed/garage then acrylic is the only way to go. Spraying 2pack in a domestic setting is illegal and potentially deadly. You really need a proper spray booth with air fed respirator to ensure you don't breathe the isocyanates in 2pack. You can get away with spraying acrylic in your shed without all the gear, it can make you sick and get you high but usually won't kill you like 2pack will. Even if you have a ventilation system set up to take the fumes out of your shed, you may be still endangering neighbors, children and pets.
P.S. Its not commonly realised, but if anyone involved in the paint job is a smoker, including a helper/bystander, the paint residue from a spray gun (whatever paint is used) will settle on hands and clothes skin hair etc and easily transfer or be drawn in by the ciggy, where it will burn even at low temp and become much more damaging to long term health, potentially to the index of (about) 10. (ie; 1 x 10 x10 x10 x 10...etc - or y times ten times ten times when it burns and is inhaled) This is similar to various particularised materials that might be around in a workshops from time to time,(brake/clutch dust for example) but not so much in the home. The carcinogenic properties and reducing the general health risks are an important consideration if people around the job are smokers - (a compensating measure would be scrub down shower and full change of clothes before that end of job ciggy)- just something worth being aware of.
