My XU1 is done in straight solid red acrylic by me and has won best paint etc against some really nice pearl and special effect 2 pak jobs several times. The van will be done in two pak though, why we want to use the van. I don't want to have to worry about industrial fallout, water stains, someone leaning up against it and being so easy to mark. I think it boils down to horses for courses. Eg facilities available, your level of skill and what you are going to do with the vehicle. One other thing I don't relish the idea of having to polish a whole van to keep the shine up on acrylic, vans are just so big.

PS two pak will last a lot longer than acrylic and under tougher circumstances, resins in acrylic dry out and acrylic is always moving. Two pak does not have these problems.
