no such thing as 'factory' windows. no such tooling existed to press a 'factory' upper quarter side panel with windows.
windows in a van have only ever been an afterthought. and an ugly one at that
a van with windows isn't.
that's my opinion anyway...

Whether it was the dealers doing it after paint or the factory doing it pre paint for large fleet orders, I reckon it's still a 'modification' to the body. do you have part numbers for the glass and rubbers?
Whilst on this subject do you know how they did the lower tailgates for vans in regards to the corners needing to be cut out? cutting disc and migged up?
I know that I miss my old van sometimes because of the lack of windows in the new one. Mainly when it comes to lane changes and reversing out of a nose in park. I actually kept the bubbles and very nearly fitted them but quickly gave myself an uppercut.
The green HZ is mine - Elizebeth body and Pilkington windows.

No A9X had factory pressed wheel arches either. They hacked them up. They would have just hacked a hole in the vans ordered with windows too no doubt, just the same as aftermarket ones were fitted. No need to press special panels.
A van doesn't exist in my opinion. They are just a ute with an afterthought spot welded on top......
