imagine if like holden ford got their more powerful motors from the states and put them into their falcons ie boss 351 then the monaro would never have one a bathurst

I think you were meaning "won" a Bathurst?
Holden could have and almost did release the big block Chev engine variants. Sure the HR was nothing much. But Holden always had Fords measure, both here locally and in the States.
