The blue one has a certain appeal. But seriously has been ruined if it is a real Sandman.
If they're real - leave them original! That's where the money is and will remain.
If like me, your into custom stuff, grab something that isn't a Sandman and go for your life.

He'll be waiting a long time to see any money close to the asking price I would think. Though I can see a lot of money spent.

I doubt that it's a real Sandman unless it's one of the rare bench seat - column autos

Would have to agree, HZ gts dash, column auto and so on, lots of money spent on neon lights, may be a bit more needed to be spent on the engine?
not sure about the yin and yang center caps either, but each to their own, mind you he may be on his own at $52k!

Didn't see the column auto, brain was freaking out over all the other interior nonsense to notice.
OK, if he hasn't ruined a real Sandman. Fair enough, overall he's built what he wanted and like I said I think it has some appeal.

The lock in the side panel of the red van, would probably be for an alarm that was fitted back in the day. Some owners had them fitted that way as a deterrent.

That blue one appears to have dropped a bottom balljoint! My first HQ was not as low as that when I got it and it was impossible to drive anywhere, had to put 1" lowered springs back in and get rid of the lowering blocks simply to drive it into my driveway.

Yep, I had one in my HQ Ute front guard.

It's got air bags Byron. Pump'm up and drive away.
It would have no problem with your driveway.

I didn't realise it had bags, I can't open carpoint links on my PC for some reason.

Yeah when I first looked at it, I though the front is too low (and I like a low car) but the stance was all wrong. But after looking at the other photos I noticed it sitting stupidly high.
    So she's air bagged.
