I highly doubt anybody cares if a HZ Kingswood is factory L31. The 308 in there and working and it was factory V8 from factory.
Not a collectible or desirable car in my eyes. As a cool old shopping trolley or parts car, I see your point.

I dont know about that, as they say they not making any more of them, most where treated like crap, i think people would look at a low klm 5.0litre turbo 400 HZ kingo or prem as starting to get collectable, if not now maybe in a couple of years. look at the HZ gts you could pick those up easily for under $10k a couple of years ago, try it now.
Also look at the VK SS one of the most gutless V8s holden ever made and some are asking $75k to $100k, personally i think $5k would be to much for any Vk.
but thats just me.
