Yep... Saftey glass was standard fitment... repaced quite a few of them as we lived in the sticks when I had my Sandmans. Back then you were allowed one windscreen a year with comp insurance so it was replaced with the same Saftey glass screen. In the 80's a replacement saftey glass windscreen was around $180 fitted, a clear laminated was around $260 and tinted band laminated was around $340.

The beauty about Saftey glass windscreens is they can quite successfully be removed and refitted, laminated tend to crack while trying to remove them.

The bad part about saftey glass is if you have ever had a broken windscreen there will be little cubes of glass down your air vents.....
