It is even worse when they were painted at the GMH plants where the front sheetmetal was painted in the assembly plant. Elizabeth did this, painted the body in the body plant, and the the front panels were painted at a different time and place. Shows up even more on vans and later on on tonners where the bodies were painted at Elizabeth and the front panels painted at Dandenong or Pagewood. A silver Mist HJ van or Deauville blue suffered terribly from this.
