Your van! It's what you like and dislike after all its your van, be it a sandman with flutes, strips or blackouts. It's your blank canvas original or modified to suit you wants. I like all the vans I've seen here and elsewhere. Weather sandman or not, sundowner or not, drifter or not. Go wild if you want it's yours!

I will go against the grain and say lose the GTS guards. I like the clean look its too much for me with Prem front end GTS wheels and fluted guards and especially with the stripes on. Each to his own have a look at pics with and without.

    Cheers Dave

When you have it painted get a pair of standard guards painted as well so if you decide you dont like the GTS ones you have a pair waiting already painted. On HZ i think standard guards look ok with the full sticker kit but it all depends on the colour of the van too

Blackouts are around the rear window, along the sills, beaver, and around the windows. On hx they are Lso on the front sill but not he as there is a spoiler there. There are numerous threads on this just do a search I have previously p up two threads.

I love gts guards and as three of our sandman's don't have them we are putting them on the malachite hz van which will get under way soon.

I have a set of original GTS guards to go on my HZ set when I do panel & paint next. I'll put the decals on as we'll minus the 'Sandman' on guards. To me GTS guards look awesome! But do
what you'll be happy with and not worry about what anyone else reckons.

Only problem with that is panel gaps will be all wrong and paint on the car will fade. Best off saving the $ and just keeping some good guards aside.
