HQ quad front looks good in the right application and with the right colour. In a GTS-ish application the HQ twin front rocks! Funny thing is if Leo Pruneau had got his wish from day dot (instead of having to wait for the LE coupe and HZ GTS) all GTS's would have had quad fronts from the start, not twin lights like they did.

Byron, you really need to meet the sheep and called quad light front ends twin because it makes reading your posts odd. If you going to print a book you need to aim it at the consensus.
To most people there are Single and Twin light front ends. If you must be different and correct. Use the terms 5" and 7" or similar. Nobody outside of you seem to call them quad light front ends.
Quad and twin for me! Never been a fan of using seemingly incorrect terminology just because other sheep do. Otherwise all HQ-WB would be Kingswoods! I'll check but that is what GMH documentation calls them I think, like quad quartz halogen front for HZ GTS etc.
Nah, we referred to the HZ's Sandman front's as the premier front. You tend to waste too many words doing the whole official spiel.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
Byrons terminology makes more sense... But I'm guilty of calling the Prem fronts twin as well.
Congrats duc, she looks great!! Many miles if enjoyment for sure, happy days![]()

I hear "Stato" front end quite a bit also. I don't necessarily have a major issue with then being called Quad, but calling a standard 7" headlight front end "Twin" throws people.
I think the issue comes from twin and single headlight surrounds. The Quad and Twin terminology is consistent with everything else in the car, like a sedan is a 4 door not a 2 door, twin bucket seats not single etc. Premier front is probably true for HK-HG, but once you get to HQ it isn't unique to Premier as it is on LS as well, and in HQ the Statesman front is different again. HJ is like HQ except Statesman front is the same. I get the confusion, but different or wrong terminology creeps in all the time. I'll see how GMH refers to them when I get a sec.
I don't think it matters what we call the front ends, quad, twin, double headlight or premier etc. if we were going to be anal, we would need to quote the part number from the parts catalogue being 9938130 which is ambulance, premier, deville, SLE, sandman PANEL-front end. From hz parts catalogue. But at a quick look in the parts catalogue I note that headlight stone guards are listed for single headlamps and dual headlamps. So that's why other terms can easily creep into the description and be correct. So in the parts cata lounge they are not even referred to as Premier front ends.
