    This is rare

Think you have a rare car in a Sandman?

Look at this. The vehicle these came off was very rare. A Windsor blue (hence metallic) HZ cab chassis, V8 4spd, bucket seats. Almost certainly an Ambulance pack. You could option metallic on a cab chassis at this time, but you rarely ever see it.

    WOW! 253 HZ Tonner

The combination might be a little on rare side but the desirability is quite low. Whatever floats your boat!

I know I'd have a Sandman Van (or even a Ute) in any model, combination, colour, side glass, etc over a 253 HZ Tonner.

haha I think he means rare as in combination... not what you would like.

Bit like a coloured '85-90's Landcruiser ute...

I wasn't talking about the driveline, but the metallic paint. Not that desirable to me either, just one of those rarer oddities that appear from time to time to make the world less vanilla.

The good thing about a cab-chassis is there is less to rust or damage. I still reckon GMH was mad making utes once they had a cab chassis, they should have made a fleetside box available for those who wanted a ute, like Falcon utes. It wouldn't have been that hard to make a box up that looked just like a HQ-WB ute rear section. I guess if it wasn't for the need for a panel van that made it necessary for an integrated body shell that is how they could have done it.

Ther was one on eBay in the last 12 months that had a separate ute back. Looked neatly done.
