    brakes

    If i change from a banjo to a salisbury diff both with drums do i have to change the brake master cylinder?

    you don't, you don't have to change your brakes at all if you don't want to muck with the cables.

    back the brake shoes off, clamp the the flexible brake hose off to stop the fluid draining out. remove the brake pipes. remove the drum, remove the 4 nuts through the axles and remove the axle, the remove the brake assemble complete with the hand brake cable still attached and shoes still in place. hang the complete brake assembly in the wheel arch while you change your diff, don't forget to bleed and adjust the brakes when your done.
