You should have gone to Bunnings and bought a $75 sabre saw and a dozen metal cutting blades!

Good idea. I had thought of a cordless jig saw but would have been forever snapping blades on the various structural elements below the outer skin. A sabre saw would have been a much better option, I’ll invest in one if I have to re-visit the yard.
