I am totally at my wits end with this POS!
It starts intermittently on the key. Starts and runs when you push start her.
Ive
Replaced battery earth
swapped starter motor
replaced plugs
replaced dizzy cap and rotor button
its strange. it will start on the key and then you switch it off and it wont start again and other times you can turn it off and on as many times as you like. HK has suggested ignition switch which will be my next stop but i'm wondering if there are any other suggestions. i don;t like the idea of dropping the column and messing with wires. i seem to bump or break wires pretty easy. A mate reckons that coz its a old clunka that the lifters are likely to be sticky and its not getting enough compression to fire. Lift the oil filler and its a bloody dirty sludge fest in there :(
