Just a quick update. Everything has seemed to move at a rate of knots since moving the ute into the workshop.
I've got the doors off, tailgate off, front end off, glass out and body mount bolts out.
Body is getting lifted next week so it can get sandblasted.

I also plan on rebuilding all the suspension (ie bushes, shocks, sway bar, tie rods etc.) which are all conveniently available in kit form from Kingswood Country Spares.

I have a few questions for the brains trust.

1. What else is required to lift body off the chassis? (all body mount bolts are out, steering out, handbrake disconnected, stabilizer thingy disconnected from body and diff)
2. Does the fuel tank need to come out to take body off
3. Has any one had any experience with Kingswood Country Spares, their parts kits seem to be exactly what I need at a very competitive price and i'd like to know if anyone on the forums can verify the quality of their gear. In their advertising of their front end rebuild kits they make a big deal out of the fact that they use the original GMH design and use greasable joints and castle nuts. I think this is obviously an awesome idea as the parts can be greased and maintained but also they would be almost direct bolt on (which is not normally the case with other aftermarket parts). I Just can't believe the good price tag on these rebuild kits. I priced most parts individually from repco etc. and it would cost waay more.
