I've wanted to know about this for a while too.

Buried in my shed, (stowed behind heaps of crap) I'm pretty sure I have got one thats army green - looks like factory paint (similar colour as the body clips were originally) I think that came off a WB van.. I think.

And one that is red (but I dont think its HQ-WB?) wrong length from memory, unless its the sedan? (I've never owned an H series sedan) and I have no idea if it is factory paint.

I did once have a blue one, same style yellow numbers, I swapped it for the red one I think, becuase the blue one didnt fit my HX van. The blue one seemed chunkier, may have had a thinner section on one end -- distant memory.

I think the one in my HJ wagon is army green.

I'd like to know much more about this as well cuase I'm gonna need one sooner or later for one van (an HX).

They were coded A through to F according to chassis length and transmission and engine.

Dark green and red are both turbo hydra matric depending on wheelbase.

    So E 457
    Diff is a GV7
    Box is a M20
    Motor is a 253

When I get home I will post the info I have out of the HJ service manual. Maybe someone else has it and can post it sooner?

    Thanks blocker and WB.
Where I headed to next was to get the colours for each and to decipher the stencil numbering system on the tail shaft, if you could help.
