Your cap is not HQ specific it's the badge version as used on GTS, SL/R, SS and HQ Sandman. If it had the Sandman logo I'd agree it's probably HQ.
The blank version cap was typical for later Sandmans until it was replaced with the UC Sunturd version on the HZ.
