    Bikes are repairable and insured, so I wouldn't worry too much about it, you can insure yourself but not repair!

    Bike is ok just some fairing damage, levers, mirrors etc. The Ambos were fantastic.

    I have been doing permanent night shift for 15 years and love it , i went back on dayshift for about 3 months in 2010 and hated it

    But was it 13 hour shifts for 5 x days straight? I could handle 11pm-7am OK, that is cool!

    No i usually work 9pm to 6am sometimes a bit earlier finish, happy with that. When i was younger i did rotating shifts and we did 12 hr shifts,hated it

    8 or 9 hours is easy as you say. 12-13 suck.

    I work 28 nightshifts in a row all 12 hrs. But then I get 28 days off to recover.

    Sounds very sapping. I can see 12hours... then 3-4 to wind down before you can sleep. Not ideal for most.

    With a 13 hour shift you get home, shower and sleep by around 7:30-8am. Wake up about 3:30pm, get dressed, check emails and off to work again.
