    Early HZ Van Headlining Type

    Hi Guys

I am about to start the restoration process on an 11/77 Sandman Van (Adelaide build) and would like to know if it had the ribbed or sandpaper headlining?

I have been able to answer most questions I have from searching this site (thank you) but this one has me stumped!

I may have some other questions along the way but for now, this one is really bugging me.

    Thanks

Yeah, I thought all HZ were sandpaper style and HJ-HX had the ribbed style.

I also recall reading somewhere that the ribbed style carried across into the HZ's (no mention for how long though).

So far, I have one tick for sandpaper. Thanks.

My 6/77 HX Ute has ribbed headlining, whether being a ute makes a difference I don't know.

AFAIK most HZ's should be the same until colour changes late in 1978.

So Byron, you are thinking ribbed until the change to commodore style vinyl in late 78 and then sandpaper from then on?
