    Statesman engine number photos

    All

    Just looking for a few clear photos of HQ-WB Statesman engine numbers. So 11QL, 11QM, 11QR, 11QS, 11QT, 11ZT, 11WT or 12WT. I have plenty of 11QU.

I just need the 11 or 12 and the letters and maybe the first number or two.

Don't worry if you have A/C in the road etc, just if you have a bare block or number is easy to see in a car.

Even one of an SVU or SVM if you happen to have one by chance (VQ-VS Statesman 304).

It is really to get the info for database purposes. I know there will be some dodgy's out there, but if I get enough we should be able to pick those apart by the fonts and the direction they are stamped from. The first aim is to work out when and where the prefix was stamped. We know they weren't done in the engine plant when the main number was stamped.

You mean the way the 11 was stamped? I have seen rather large spacings over the years on odd angles as well.

I had a look at the 308 in my Jaguar but the power steering is well in the road for any decent photo.

No dramas if it is hard. Only need a few to confirm or disprove a theory initially.
